Continuous company growth has created an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team, based in Murarrie on a permanent full-time basis. Candidates are required to be living locally or be willing to relocate to Brisbane from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand. 

The Role:

• Perform FEED and Detailed Design for high voltage and low voltage AC/DC distribution systems.
• Develop single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams and general arrangements.
• Develop panel/switchboard layouts and BOM’s.
• Research, size and specify minor and major switchgear, primary and secondary equipment/plant and instrumentation.
• Complete design calculations/studies such as short circuit, protection coordination, load flow, arc flash, earthing, lightning protection, insulation coordination and cable sizing.
• Develop all engineering related project design documentation, deliverables, and technical reports.  
• Develop design scopes, specifications and manuals.
• Conduct Safety in Design and other engineering reviews.
• Design Earthing systems, including Step and Touch Potential, EPR, Earth Grid Design, and Portable Earthing
• Provide supervision and training to engineers and graduates.

Nice to Haves:

• HV Substation, Switchyard detailed design experience.
• Hazardous Area Classification and Design

The Person:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role. 
• Chartered Status (CPEng) - RPEQ Membership is required.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards.
• Experience using PTW or ETAP.
• Proven experience in delivering complete turnkey designs on projects with values up to $5mil. 
• Experienced with supervision, direction, coaching, and mentoring of Engineers/Junior Engineers.
