Our Eastern Region, based in Murarrie, are expanding their team and are seeking a full-time Project Engineer to provide technical support to and coordination of internal engineering teams, construction teams and clients.

Job Description

The Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project QA/QC documentation and standards.
  • Manage project technical deliverables.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with scope and specifications.
  • Plan, organise, and direct project completion.
  • Coordinate with teams to meet project goals.
  • Verify design outputs and participate in design reviews.
  • Manage change process and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders and accurate documentation.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and project interfaces.
  • Ensure construction meets standards and manage risks.
  • Lead project quality, budget, and schedule.
  • Provide detailed project reporting and support.
  • Comply with HSE and Quality policies.
  • Evaluate and approve project expenses.
  • Plan project resources.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 2+ years’ Project Engineer experience, leading technical teams.
  • Strong project management fundamentals.
  • Strong technical experience on complex electrical projects.
  • Sound project finance and commercial understanding.
  • Ability to work within budgets and schedules.
  • Proficient in planning and executing complex EPC Projects.
  • Skilled in resolving technical issues and leading teams effectively.
  • Experienced in estimating/variation management.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet technical standards.
  • Good understanding of  HSE requirements, Quality Systems, and legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.

 

Qualifications:

  • Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Member of Engineers Australia
  • Leadership Training (can be developed internally)
  • Finance Training (can be developed internally)
