Job Description
This role is a mix of local, office and field-based work and involves national travel on a project-to-project basis. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong theoretical and practical knowledge.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Commissioning and testing HV Power Transformers.
Construction and Assembly of HV Power Transformers.
Oil filtration, bushing replacement, leak repairs onsite and in workshop environment.
Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works.
Carry out JSHAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls.
Primary Testing of HV/LV Transformers (i.e. Tan Delta/Voltage Ratio/Winding Resistance/Dirana/SFRA, Oil Sampling)
Knowledge of ACB/VCB and Switchboard testing
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience, skills and qualifications
Unrestricted QLD Electrical Fitter and Mechanics License
Minimum 4 years’ experience post trade.
Valid Driver’s License.
HV Switching Ticket preferred.
Knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards.
Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
