Our Murarrie location have apermanent full-time requirement for a Senior Electrical Engineer as an integral role to our dynamic and efficient team. Candidates are required to be living locally or be willing to relocate to Brisbane from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.

The Role:
Perform FEED and Detailed Design for substation equipment and systems, including Protection Design, AC/DC Switchgear, Switchyard, Substation Building and Auxiliaries, Battery/ Battery Charger/UPS.
Conduct Power System Modelling and Analysis Studies for protection coordination, load flow, short circuit, harmonic & flicker, motor starting, transient stability, arc flash, lightning protection, and insulation coordination.
Design Earthing systems, including Step and Touch Potential, EPR, Earth Grid Design, and Portable Earthing.
Protection and metering scheme design, technical/economic feasibility studies, technical support for estimating and project framing, asset lifecycle engineering and analysis.
Assist in the development of engineering standards, processes, and systems and provide supervision and training to engineers and graduates.
Desired Skills and Experience
The Person:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Chartered Status (CPEng) – RPEQ membership is required (or ability to achieve within 6 months of starting the role).
Possess detailed knowledge of design quality assurance processes and relevant standards, legislation, policies, and procedures applicable to designs and studies.
Experienced with generating design scopes, specifications, and project estimating.
Proficient in generating detailed technical reports and formulating concise technical arguments.
Proven experience in delivering complete turnkey design solutions on projects with values up to $5mil.
Strong understanding of the functional electrical design areas of HV substations, control, automation, protection, and communications systems.
Experienced with supervision, direction, coaching, and mentoring of Engineers/Junior Engineers.
Able to develop detailed, professional, and accurate designs, documents, and reports.
