We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Commissioning Technician to join Powertech on an OFFSHORE Project.
Position Overview:
- Super paid on all hours worked & great $$$ rates paid
- Role: Mechanical Commissioning Technician
- Roster: 3:3
- Hours: 12 hour days
- Duration: at least 2-3 swings
- Start Date: Urgent ASAP
- Location: Commissioning on Offshore platform
Scope of Work:
- Execute mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for rotating and static equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, fans, and packaged equipment.
- Perform functional checks, run tests, cold and hot commissioning, and operational verification.
- Participate in system walkdowns and punch-list generation/closeout (A/B punch lists).
- Equipment Alignment
About You:
- Mechanical trade certification or recognized engineering/technical qualification.
- 5–10+ years of mechanical commissioning experience in offshore oil & gas facilities.
- Previous offshore experience – Requirement
- Oil and Gas experience – Requirement
- Proven experience in alignment of rotating equipment (laser and dial gauge methods).
- Strong understanding of mechanical rotating equipment, lubrication systems, couplings, and vibration principles.
- Experience with commissioning procedures, PTW systems, and offshore SIMOPS.
