Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead the development, configuration & improvement of commercial policy, processes and procedures to build a robust commercial framework.
Develop and maintain commercial risk register.
Review complex contract terms and conditions, identifying risks and developing robust commercial departures in line with the company’s risk profile.
Provide accurate, practical, legally and commercially astute advice to internal stakeholders.
Prepare and administer contracts, subcontracts, MOU’s, JV’s and supplier agreements.
Lead reviews of commercial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Prepare commercial reports and presentations for the Board as required.
Represent the company at commercial meetings and negotiations.
Support the business with commercial/legal disputes.
Renewal of property leases and insurance policies.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to evaluate and navigate contractual risks.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
Bachelor of Laws/Commerce or a related field.
5+ years of experience in commercial analysis, preferably in the electrical EPC and services industry.
Proven experience as Contracts/Commercial Manager on projects up to $20mil
Expert knowledge of commercial contracting principles/practices, standards and laws
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Extensive experience with contract negotiation.
Competent with commercial risk management.
Experience with commercial reporting.
Experience with commercial project management.
