We have an exciting opportunity for a Permit to Work Co-Ordinator to join Powertech on our clients Hydrogen Project.

 

Position Overview:

  • Start date: ASAP 2026
  • Duration: Initial 8 months work
  • Roster: 2x1
  • Hours per day: 10.5
  • Super paid on all hours worked & great $$$ rates paid
  • Location: Karratha
  • POH: Perth – however we will cover flights from any capital City in Australia & accommodation if required.
  • Travel: In and out on first and last day of swing

 

 

Scope of Work:

  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide expertise in the direction and support of HSE procedures and policies.
  • Administer and coordinate the PTW System during the commissioning and steady operations phases.
  • Actively participate in shutdown preparation and liaise with Area Superintendent/Supervisors to achieve planned work.
  • Inspect job sites and review JSA with the Permit Acceptor, ensuring conflicting permits are not issued.
  • Draft and approve isolation registration sheets or similar tracking registers.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify the effectiveness of the permit system.
  • Ensure workplace and equipment are safe for return to service before closing the Permit.
  • Report non-compliance or incidents immediately.
  • Identify routine tasks requiring a Permit and implement standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitate and participate in PTW audits.
  • Assist the Construction team as required by the Commissioning Manager.

 

About You:

  • 5–10 years experience in industrial projects such as:
  • Hydrogen plants
  • Oil & gas facilities
  • Chemical processing plants
  • Power generation facilities
  • Experience with commissioning phase of major projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Permit to Work systems in high-hazard environments.
