We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join Powertech on an Iron Ore Project.

Position Overview:

• Roster: 2 weeks on : 1 week off
• Start Date: ASAP 2026
• Hours: 10.5hrs/ day 
• Rate: $130/hr + Super paid on all hours worked (Day shift)
• +15% uplift for any nightshift works
• PIP: Additional $2.20 Per Hour project Incentive Payment for duration
• Duration: August/September, with a possibility to extend.
• Location: Pilbara
• POH: Perth, but will be covered flights from any major capital in Australia to Perth

Scope of Work:

• Commissioning/Design background
• Technical support for commissioning techs
• TQs, RFIs, drawings, defects
• Commissioning procedures, ITRs, and other documentations
• Assist with handover documents

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• 5+ years’ experience in electrical commissioning, preferably in mining, iron ore, or heavy industrial projects.
• Proven experience with large-scale plant commissioning and energisation.

• Strong knowledge of power systems, protection schemes, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Experience with commissioning standards and practices (e.g., IEC, IEEE, AS/NZS).
• Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems is advantageous.
