Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Calibration Technician to join Powertech, supporting our Brisbane Office, on a Full-Time Permanent basis.

About The Role:

Traveling to remote and overseas locations to perform onsite calibrations and repairs as needed by the business is a requirement of this role. 

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform calibrations within the calibration laboratory's capability on electrical, pressure, torque, temperature, LV/HV PPE, mechanical and dimensional equipment.
  • Follow the procedures set down in the Calibration Manual and as set out in ISO 17025 to maintain a high-quality control within the calibration laboratory.
  • Accurate generation of calibration reports and certifications.
  • Development and maintenance of testing procedures, capabilities, and equipment.
  • Willingness to travel to remote and overseas locations to perform onsite calibration and repairs as required by the business.
  • Maintaining calibration procedures and work instructions.
  • Handling client queries.
  • Preparation of quotations for equipment calibration and repair.
  • Liaise with customers regarding the status of customer jobs.
  • Other technical and administrative duties as required.
  • Work in a team environment.

 

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience within a calibration laboratory with the following equipment types:
    • Electrical equipment/LV/HV PPE Testing
    • Electronic repairs
    • Temperature/Pressure equipment
    • Torque, mechanical and dimensional equipment
  • Strong knowledge of electronics and/or measurement techniques.
  • Experience writing procedures and work instructions.
  • Experience writing uncertainty budgets and/or calculating uncertainty.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
